Los Angeles, CA (June 28, 2010) – As Internet Safely Month comes to a close, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is concluding the month by announcing the launch of the Restricted To Adults – RTA™ Website Label Plugin for WordPress.
WordPress is an open source content management system. It has many features including a plugin architecture and a templating system. Used by over 300 of the 10,000 biggest websites, WordPress is the most popular blogging software in use today. As of September 2009, it was being used by 202 million websites worldwide.
RTA was developed by ASACP out of a need for a free, easy to use, and internationally recognized label that designates content for adults only. The RTA label is a unique string of “meta data” which can be inserted into the computer code of any website. Parental filtering software recognizes the tag and prevents children from viewing adult content. Installing the RTA tag on a WordPress install can be somewhat complicated, so the Restricted to Adults plugin makes it one click -- activate the plugin and your site is restricted to adults.

I just wanted to say thank you and let you know how grateful I am to see your efforts are making a profound impact on the child porn distributed on the web. I was told a few years back that there is no way to get rid of the child porn on the web because these people if caught just abandoned the old URL and popped a new one out just as quick as the snap of my fingers. This was discouraging to me because it hurts me to see these innocent beings of light being manipulated into doing things that will destroy the way they interact with there fellow beings the rest of their life here in the flesh. I'm amazed at just how sick some of these people are to have sex with infants, I just don't understand how you get to that space. It makes me so angry, I wish that there was a way to eliminate this urge from these people that commit such acts, but even if you removed there arms, hands, legs, and sexual organs, they would still have that desire and could still harm children. I just didn't know how to handle this because what I was hearing was that these people were going to keep getting away with this.
Then I ran into your web site while surfing the net looking for an organization like the FBI that could at least attempt to put a dent in it.All I can say is WOW! Your company is doing a great job at choking these people. What I understood as impossible, has been given hope due to your efforts to eliminate such material off the net. What I can tell you is, every web site that I have turned into you has been blocked within a few weeks which tells me that your team is actively pursuing these criminals. I just wanted to say thank you very much for your love and light, because without it, our world is progressing into an abyss I'm not sure we know how to get out of.
